Abby Quarles was crowned the 2013 Miss Cobb County’s Outstanding Teen during the staging of the Miss Cobb County Pageant at the Jennie T. Anderson Theatre in Marietta on August 4. Abby, 15, is the daughter of John and Sandy Quarles of East Marietta. She will compete for the title of Miss Georgia’s Outstanding Teen in Columbus in June 2013.
A sophomore at Johnson Ferry Christian Academy, Abby is the chaplin for the National Honor Society. An active member of the Johnson Ferry Baptist Church, she sings in the choir and has participated in mission trips including a trip Poland earlier this year. Since the age of 10, Abby has taken ballet, pointe, jazz and contemporary dance classes at the Georgia Metropolitan Dance Conservatory. She is currently a member of their dance company, the Georgia Metropolitan Dance Theatre. Abby will compete in the Youth America Grand Prix ballet competition in 2013.
Abby has previously won the titles of Junior Miss Cobb County and Cobb County’s Talented Teen in competition held last February. She also enjoys modeling and acting.
Abby has two brothers, Jeremy, 22, and Robby, 18.
