Brookhaven of East Cobb residents cast as extras in The Internship

Brookhaven of East Cobb, an active adult community built by Jim Chapman Communities, has gone Hollywood! Residents recently opened up their community to the crew of The Internship, a movie starring actors Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson. Besides shooting a few scenes at the location, the film crew also asked several homeowners to be extras.

Brookhaven of East Cobb offered a fantastic setting for the scenes. The gated community features all brick and stone condominiums with inviting front porches. Priced from the $240,000s, homes have two and three-bedroom award-winning floor plans with roomy, livable spaces. Oversized master suites boast vaulted ceilings, walk-in closets and private baths.

The film crew was also attracted to the community’s amenities. Residents enjoy a gorgeous heated pool, outdoor fireplace and a National Association of Homebuilders’ award-winning clubhouse with exercise room and kitchen. Sidewalks and professional landscaping are throughout, adding to the community’s beauty.

Once at Brookhaven of East Cobb, the crew had easy access to all that desirable East Cobb has to offer. The community is convenient to Town Center Mall, Marietta, the North Georgia mountains and downtown Atlanta, making Brookhaven of East Cobb a premier location.

Residents, who are in their 50s, were thrilled to be included in the movie. The Internship portrays two recently laid-off men in their 40s that try to make it as interns at a successful Internet company. Reporting to managers in their 20s, Vaughn and Wilson are sure to be hilarious.

Be sure to catch The Internship in theatres! It is set to be released in the summer of 2013.
