Every Saturday and Sunday, Marietta Square Farmers Market featuring products that are grown and produced in Georgia, including produce, plants, honey, breads, and cheese. Saturday: 10am-1pm. Every Tuesday and Saturday, Feeding Time at the Chattahoochee Nature Center. Join a naturalist for an in-depth look at one of their resident animals as they are being fed. 4pm. Explore Passages, through June 30. Passages, a worldwide traveling exhibition, allows people of all interests to experience the creation of the book that has altered history, shaped cultures, inspired minds and changed lives. The 23,203-square-foot, interactive, non-sectarian traveling exhibition uncovers the rarely revealed saga and diverse personalities of those who lived and died to capture, preserve, translate and study the Bible. The Georgia State Defense Force Birthday Ball is June 23 at the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel at 2450 Galleria Parkway.  A cocktail reception is from 6 to 7 p.m. followed by dinner, a program and dancing.  The event ends at 11 p.m.  Appropriate attire includes a military dress uniform, black tie or dark suit or cocktail dress.  For more information, contact Col. Cobb Animal Control will present the inaugural Art, Barks and Purrs Festival 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturday, June 23, on the front lawn of the Animal Control Shelter, located at 1060 Al Bishop Drive, Marietta.Vendors at the festival will feature handcrafted animal-related art, including jewelry, bird feeders and houses, housewares, animal clothing, collars and leashes, pet portraits and pottery. McCleskey-East Cobb YMCA will offer FREE swim checks. 
 From 11am – 12pm, you can bring your child to the YMCA in Marietta and certified swim instructors will assess your child’s swim ability.  Are you sure your child will be safe in the water this summer?  Bring them to the Y for this free swim assessment.  The McCleskey-East Cobb YMCA wants to educate parents, children and caregivers about the learn-to-swim resources available in our community.  By raising awareness and providing the opportunity for more kids to learn to swim, we are saving lives.  To inquire about the YMCA’s Water Wise program, please contact Sarah Ernst at 770-977-5991 or sarahe@ymcaatlanta.org.

Parc at Piedmont will be the site of a campaign forum hosted by Don Jenacova, Oliver G. Halle and Jennifer George, director, Parc at Piedmont. This event is an opportunity for candidates to speak to constituents individually or in small groups, there will be no speeches.

ABC’s Fair at KSU. Every successful business has its foundation within the A, B, C’s or connections with Attorneys, Bankers and CPAs. Building upon these cornerstones, the Kennesaw State University Small Business Development Center hosts the 2012 “ABC’s Fair” on Thursday, June 28th, from 4-7pm, at the KSU Center (3333 Busbee Drive, Kennesaw, GA 30144).
