The Annual Putnam County Dairy Festival will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2012, on the streets surrounding the Putnam County Courthouse. The event is sponsored by the Pilot Club of Eatonton. The festival pays tribute to the county’s dairy industry. A number of activities are planned for the weekend which will bring many people to the county and include arts & crafts, a road race, a parade, barbeque, speakers and entertainment. Booth’s open at 9 am while the parade begins at 10 a.m. The Tourture Trail Road race kicks things off at 8 am.
The streets surrounding Eatonton’s courthouse square fill with festivalgoers during the town’s celeration of its dairy roots, including a 10K road race, arts and crafts, parade and lots of ice-cream treats and milk handed out for free courtesy of Mayfield. Visit www.visiteatonton.com for more info.
