A free workshop on building your family tree will take place July 14, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 2205 Bascomb Carmel Road in Woodstock.
The workshop will run from 9am to 1:45pm. The keynote speaker is Don Conkey, columnist with the Cherokee Tribune, and workshop topics and speakers include; DNA (Terry Barton); using family history centers (Jennifer Petrino); online resources (Morgan Brown); using Familysearch.org (Tanya Brown); county records (Emily McPherson); and military records (Lee Tucker).
There also will be lectures on scrapbooking and African-American genealogy. Several of the sessions will run concurrently, so you have to choose which ones to attend.
