The Genealogy Society of Cobb County will present a program titled Georgia on My Mind: Colonial Research in Georgia. Researching ancestors from America’s thirteenth colony can prove difficult due to significant record loss. Kristin Harms, a full-time professional genealogist, will present an overview of the colony of Georgia’s history, her people, the records they generated, and where they can be found today. Kristin is the owner and principal genealogist of Relative Proof, LLC. She has been an active member of CCGS for the past four years and is currently the editor of the newsletter.

The meeting will be held Tuesday April 26 from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 189 Church St, Marietta 30060. For more information visit www.cobbgegensoc.org.
