As we approach this holiday season, I find myself truly counting my blessings more than I have in years. I have been married to my wife and love of my life, Nancy, for 34 years. We have three great sons, Ken Jr., Scott and Drew, my faith in God, a wonderful large loving family with lots of in-laws and cousins, and numerous great supportive and loving friends. What more could a guy ask for?

East Cobber Creates Enviro Expo

Enviro Expo USA, Atlanta’s only green consumer expo, is being held at the Georgia World Congress Center on Saturday, November 14, and Sunday, November 15, from 10am to 5pm. Enviro Expo USA founder and Presi-dent, Dianne Bennett, an East Cobb County resident, re-engineered her 1980’s environmental expo, which she produced and managed, last year to serve the need for a Green Expo in the Atlanta area. The inaugural 2008 event attracted 6,000 attendees and served as a forum for families in the Atlanta area. “I created the Enviro Expo to promote the exchange of sustainable lifestyle and product information between consumers, manu-facturers, researchers and others whose interest is “going green,” says Ms. Bennett.

“Shop with a Greyhound” Seeks Supporters

Pope High School has made a commitment to help students achieve excellence in service and leadership, student achievement, athletics, and fine arts. Last year, as part of their goal to serve the community and de-velop leaders, Pope High School launched a new community service program called Shop With A Greyhound (SWAG). SWAG successfully raised $10,000 in donations thanks to students, parents, Partners in Education, local businesses, and the community. Pope had over 200 student volunteers take 75 underprivileged children shop-ping at The Avenue-East Cobb shopping center.
