Father of the Year 2007: Christian Suttle

Christian SuttleHere is the winning essay, submitted by Christian Suttle’s wife, Cappie Suttle:

“I am nominating my husband, Christian Suttle, as the EAST COBBER Father of the Year. My husband serves as the Graduation Coach, Basketball Team Statistician, Football Coach and Head Track Coach at Walton High School. He studied throughout the school year last year and completed his M.Ed and plans to pursue an Ed.D this year! All of this and he still manages to come home each night to nurture his five children. He even manages to attend their school and sports events!

My husband is a father not only to this own tribe at home, but also to all of the Walton students. His phone is constantly ringing with calls from students, parents and co-workers, seeking words of encouragement, advice or help.

We’ve been happily married for only seven years and I am in awe of his ability to be husband, parent and friend with a smile on his face each day. Receiving this honor would be a wonderful recognition of the sacrifices and effort he makes daily!”
