In the summer heat, you might find any one of Chestnut Ridge’s church members like East Cobber Debbie Abernathy giving thirsty plants a refreshing shower. The next day, you might see senior pastor Rev. Byron Wells among the squash and peas. Chestnut Ridge Christian Church has taken the community garden to mean just that – by the community and for the community.

East Cobb Baseball Leads Local Athletes to National Success

Each summer, East Cobbers flock to Turner Field to watch the beloved Braves and enjoy the all-American sport of baseball. As they cheer for their favorite players, many East Cobbers do not realize that some of these very same players started right here in our own backyard. For the past 25 years, East Cobb Baseball has been training the area’s most promising young baseball athletes and leading them to success in both college and pro baseball on a state-of-the-art, 30-acre baseball complex with eight perfectly manicured ballfields in Northeast Cobb County.
