Cobb Emergency Response Team (CERT) Initial Training Class, sponsored by the Cobb County emergency Management Agency, provides an opportunity for Cobb County citizens to gain knowledge about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their areas and trains them in basic disaster response skills such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. To participate, you must be at least 16 years of age and either live, work, or worship in Cobb County. Classes are free. Advance registration required by Monday, August 27, 2012. Classes will be held at the Cobb Emergency Management Agency, 140 North Marietta Parkway, Marietta.
