The Sprayberry Girls Basketball team beat host school Hiram to win the Hiram Holiday Classic.
The Lady Yellow Jackets won by a score of 44-26. Senior Nadia Ogene scored 16 points, and fellow senior Katina Barbee finished with 12 points. Freshman Lexii Cassell finished the night with 10 points and 12 rebounds. The photo on the right is the victory snapshot of the Lady Yellow Jackets with their trophy. The Lassiter High School Lady Trojans finished the Hiram Holiday Classic in sixth place, losing to South Cobb 34-44. The Lady Trojans fought a tough battle, but couldn’t finish. Congratulations on the valiant effort Lady Trojans!
On the boy’s side, Harrison High School in Kennesaw defeated Sprayberry 65-60. The Yellow Jackets fought hard, but came up short to finish second in the tournament. Congratulations Yellow Jackets!
The Hiram Holiday Classic was a basketball tournament that took place December 20 – December 22 at Hiram High School. The following teams participated in the boy’s bracket: Osborne, Harrison, Marietta, Richmond, Sprayberry, South Cobb, Woodward, and Hiram. The following teams participated in the girl’s bracket: South Cobb, Osborne, Stone Mountain, Sprayberry, Allatoona, Harrison, Lassiter, and Hiram.
