The 15th Annual Cobb County Republican Women’s Club Veterans Celebration Luncheon will be October 28 at 11 a.m. at the Hilton Marietta Conference Center, 500 Powder Springs St. in Marietta.
The keynote speaker will be Sgt. Clint Van Winkle, an Iraqi Freedom veteran, filmmaker and author. At 10 a.m., participants can meet Sgt. Van Winkle and get a personal copy of his book, “Soft Spots,” signed.
Local retired radio personality Moby Carney will serve as master of ceremonies. The event will also feature soloist Deputy Marcus White, the Wheeler High School Air Force JRTOC Honor Guard, escorts by the Lithia Springs High School Marine Corps JROTC and bagpiper Scott McAililey.
