Art for the Park 2016 will take place Nov. 2-3 Atlanta Country Club (500 Atlanta Country Club Drive) to benefit McFarlane Nature Park. McFarlane Nature Park is a privately held 11-acre nature preserve in East Cobb and is open to the public.

Visitors will find original buildings that were part of this longtime working farm, including a 1941 farmhouse, in addition to fields and wooded areas and extensive native gardens cultivated and cared for by the Master Gardeners of Cobb County.

Art for the Park was established to showcase local artists across myriad disciplines with the sale of the featured art to raise vital funds for the care and maintenance of the park. The previous shows have made important projects for the park possible, including critical repairs to the roof of the historical farmhouse.

The 4th Annual Art for the Park is free and open to the public 10:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m. both days for shopping for holiday gifts and enjoying the talents of 45 + local artists and vendors with a portion of the proceeds benefitting McFarlane Nature Park.

In addition to the art show, at 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 2, there will be a Fashion Show/Brunch featuring the trendy looks of Atlanta Fashion Designer Abbey Glass, and title-holder models including Miss Georgia America. Tickets to the Fashion Show may be purchased on our event website. That evening, at 6:30 p.m., guests will enjoy “An Evening of Art and Music” by vocalist/guitarist Terry Andrews.

On Nov. 3, at 10:30 a.m., Master Gardener Sandra Sandefur will present “Surrounding Yourself with Flowers” along Matt Tommey’s unique basket weaving. Art for the Park will culminate with a Cocktail Reception and Artist Symposium that evening at 6:00 p.m.with international wood sculptor Matt Moulthrop.

We welcome the Greater Atlanta and Cobb Community to enjoy the event and shop for a cause!
