Here Comes the Bride Exhibit. Includes a variety of historic wedding gowns, which are displayed throughout Bulloch Hall. The gowns on display are from the mid-nineteenth century through the mid-twentieth century. Monday-Saturday: 10am-3pm. Sunday: 1-3pm. Adults $8, Seniors $7, Children $6, Children 6 & under free. Family Canoe Day. Introduction to canoeing for first-time paddlers, families with young kids, or adults coming back to the sport. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the nature center grounds afterwards. Marietta Square Art Walk. A free, self-guided tour of historic Marietta Square’s eclectic art scene. Art galleries, museums, cultural venues, restaurants and boutiques hosting artists within their businesses will display an Art Walk banner in their window. 5-9pm, rain or shine. 8th Annual Hero Run 5K Race. Run through historic downtown Kennesaw to raise money for wounded veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan. East Cobb Triathlons. This is the 4th in a series of 6 events over the summer with the championship race at the beginning of October. Choose from 3 distances for the adults and races for children. Lutzie 43 Road Race 5K. Honoring the memory of Lassiter and Auburn football player, Philip Lutzenkirchen. All proceeds benefit the Lutzie 43 Foundation and the East Cobb County chapter of Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). The race start/finish line will be inside Lassiter High School’s football stadium and features a fast, smooth run through the streets of East Cobb. Registration at 6:30am, race at 8am. Miss Cobb County Scholarship Pageant.
