Incoming Cobb Commission Chairman Mike Boyce and Cobb District 2 Commissioner Bob Ott are among the featured guests at the Terrell Mill Community Association’s annual meeting Wednesday, Nov. 2, that will focus on Atlanta Braves traffic and other topics in the Powers Ferry Corridor.

The meeting starts at 7 p.m. at Brumby Elementary School, 1306 Powers Ferry Road, and will include discussions about school construction, real estate values and Cobb police strategies to address drug problems.

“For the tens of thousands of people living and working in the corridor, this is an opportunity to not only hear what’s going on, but to also be part of the discussion,” said Sheri George, Terrell Mill Community Association president.

Other speakers include Cobb Department of Transportation Director Jim Wilgus, Brumby principal Dr. Amanda Richie, Cobb Board of Education representative Scott Sweeney and Cobb Police Precinct 4 Commander Major J.L. Quan.

Boyce is the presumptive chairman-elect of the Cobb County Commission after defeating incumbent Tim Lee in the Republican primary. Ott won his GOP primary earlier this year. He and Boyce will be running unopposed in the Nov. 8 general election.
