The Cobb County Chamber of Commerce invites you to participate in a unique, behind-the-scenes experience as a Principal for a Day to better understand one of Cobb County’s strongest assets: our public education system.

As a Principal for a Day, you will have the chance to meet one-on-one with one of Cobb County or Marietta City’s outstanding principals to gain firsthand knowledge of the challenges and strengths local schools face on a daily basis. Participants will shadow a local principal, meet with the faculty, and spend time in the classroom with students. This special opportunity will provide a greater understanding of the educational process in Cobb County.

“We believe this program can be a very rewarding experience for members of the Cobb business community, Cobb’s educators and our students,” says Amy Goggins, coordinator, for the Cobb Chamber.

This program will take place the week of Monday, October 9 – Friday, October 13 in both Cobb County and Marietta City Schools. The principal and participant will connect at the beginning of the week and select the date that would be best for them. The program requires the commitment of a half workday.

An application for this program can be found on the Chamber’s website: www.cobbchamber.org. If you would like to participate, please complete the online application by Monday, September 11.
