Two races from the May 24 General Primary and Nonpartisan Election require a runoff on July 26 – the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners and the Post 3 Judge of State Court. To vote in the runoff, voters must have been registered by April 26, 2016. All precincts will be open on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

There will be two ballots available, republican and nonpartisan. Only the republican ballot contains both the chairman and the judge race. Those who can choose this ballot include those who did not vote May 24, those who selected a nonpartisan ballot on May 24 and those who selected a republican ballot May 24.

The nonpartisan ballot only contains the Post 3 Judge race. Those who can choose this ballot include those who did not vote May 24, those who selected a nonpartisan ballot on May 24 and those who selected a democratic ballot May 24.

Advance in-person voting begins July 5.

July 5-22 (Monday – Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.):

July 18-22 (9 a.m.-5 p.m.):
•    Cobb County Civic Center, 548 S. Marietta Pkwy., Marietta
•    East Cobb Government Service Center, 4400 Lower Roswell Rd., Marietta
•    South Cobb Community Center, 620 Lions Club Dr., Mableton
•    Boots Ward Recreation Center (Lost Mountain Park), 4845 Dallas Highway, Powder Springs
•    NorthStar Church, 3413 Blue Springs Rd. NW Kennesaw
Any voter may apply for a vote-by-mail ballot instead of voting in-person. Applications are available at cobbelections.org. Vote-by-mail ballots must be returned to the Elections Office and received by 7 p.m. on July 26.
