The Cobb Library Foundation will host the sixth annual Booked for the Evening Gala on Thursday, October 20 at the Marietta Country Club, with dinner, cocktails and a silent auction.

This year’s featured author is Karin Slaughter, best known for her Grant County and Will Trent/Atlanta series. Since her debut in 2001, Slaughter has been an international bestseller, published in more than 30 languages. While her love of writing is clear, she has also long been a devoted fan of Public Libraries. She spearheaded the Save the Libraries program to support Public Libraries for all communities and has been tireless in her efforts.

The Booked for the Evening Gala is the primary fundraising event for the Cobb Library Foundation in support of Cobb County’s libraries. Fundraising from this event has enabled the foundation to supply valuable equipment and materials for early and adult literacy, computer stations, Summer Reading Programs, GEMS and Teen Technology programs to the 16 branches of the Cobb County Public Library System.
