Police are searching for a well-dressed suspect wanted in connection to at least four armed bank robberies in Cobb County this year.

The first robbery happened on February 4 when the man hit the Fifth Third Bank location on Roswell Road in Marietta. The suspect entered the branch armed with a semi-automatic handgun and demanded cash. According to the teller, the suspect actually apologized for the robbery on his way out and previously said he owed money to someone in Nashville.

The suspect also allegedly robbed the Regions Bank location on Roswell Road in Marietta on April 1. According to tellers, he produced the same kind of weapon, a semi-automatic handgun, and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

He is also suspected of robberies at the BB&T Bank on Roswell Road in Marietta on May 25 and the PNC bank on Johnson Ferry Road in Marietta on July 13. Investigators said the man walked into the East Cobb branch with a handgun at about 11:30 a.m. and demanded money from a teller. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled the bank on foot.

The man is described as a white male, 6’2” to 6’4,” with brownish hair and a full beard. He had a “husky build” and is thought to be in his late 30s.

He was last seen wearing a black suit, a white dress shirt with a dark tie, and a tan ball cap with an emblem on it, according to a news release from Cobb police spokesman Dana Pierce.

In addition to a possible reward of up to $2,000 from the Greater Atlanta Crime Stoppers organization, the PNC Corporation is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect.
