This is the 26th year for the silent auction and wine tasting fundraiser of the East Cobb Civitan Club. The event will be held at the Olde Towne Athletic Club on Thursday, October 19th at 6pm. For the last 14 years, the Civitans have joined with Friends for the East Cobb Park in hosting this event. Kennesaw State University’s President Sam Olens is Honorary Chair of this year’s event. Mr. Olen’s was also involved in the original fundraising for the East Cobb Park. The proceeds of this event will be divided between the East Cobb Civitan Club and Friends for the East Cobb Park.

“To date this event has earned $171,000 for the East Cobb Park and around $360,000 for local charities such as MUST Ministries, The Center for Family Resources, The Center for Children and Young Adults as well as Civitan charities such Camp Big Heart–a camp for children and adults with special needs,” states Roselle Wilkinson, Chair of the Auction and Wine Tasting. This fundraiser is their largest source of funds for their projects and charities.

Mark your calendars for a fun evening with wonderful wine and auction items. Tickets are $25 each. Heavy Hors D’oeuvers are included. They can be purchased online at www.eastcobbcivitan.org. The East Cobb Civitan Club meets for lunch on the second Thursday of the month and for dinner on the fourth Thursday of the month at The Olde Towne Athletic Club, 4950 Olde Towne Parkway, Marietta/East Cobb and welcomes guests.
