All Cobb residents age 55+ are invited to participate in activities at various senior centers throughout Cobb. The following is a list of activities scheduled at the East Cobb Senior Center located at 3332 Sandy Plains Road, Marietta 30066. Pancakes with Public Safety

February 10 | 10am-12pm; $5 Cobb-residents, $6 Non-residents

Pancake Breakfast put on by East Cobb Senior Center and the McCleskey YMCA to honor the men and women of Cobb County Public Safety who service the East Cobb area. An opportunity to meet with these men and women, have breakfast with them and learn about our police and fire departments. A way of thanking them for all they do for us and our community.

Posture: Perfection & Correction

February 10 | 11am-12pm; free/Registration required

Bev Stegman with Foundation Therapy Center will speak on how to lengthen and improve the strength of the spine, as well as how to correct the common causes of poor posture.

Brain Fitness

February 17 | 10am-11:30am; free/Registration required

In “The Brain Class” learn exciting brain power exercises to boost mental focus; learn about specific actions that threaten and those that help promote brain health; and even learn how to simply be less forgetful. Presented by Bridgett Skelton, RN, BSNBrookdale, Senior Living.

Laughter Yoga

February 24 | 10am-11am

Laughter Yoga is a popular form of guided fun-filled activity that promotes the use of laughter as a form of aerobic exercise. You have heard it said that “laughter is the best medicine.” Find out for yourself. Presented by John Butler with Family Private Care Services.
