SEPTEMBER 26-OCTOBER 2

57th Annual Atlanta AAUW Book Fair presented by American Association of University of Women, (AAUW). Over 75,000 gently used books at bargain prices. Profits are used for scholarships, fellowships and community programs. Special opening night, Monday: 6-9pm. ($10). Open daily starting Tuesday: 10am-9pm; Sunday: 12-7pm. SEPTEMBER 30

OCTOBER 1

5th Annual Spirit Girls Day presented by WellStar. Free health screenings, interactive Ask the Experts health and wellness information booths, engaging and entertaining keynote speaker, health and wellness breakout sessions and a nutritious boxed lunch. 9am-1pm. $10/participant. 8th Annual Oktoberfest presented by Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Festival features German food, music, and heritage, children’s games and entertainment, and a craft vendor fair. 10am-7pm. Craft fair-10am-4:30pm. $5/adult, $2/children or to support MUST Ministry Food Pantry admission is 6 cans of nonperishable food for each adult admission and 2 cans for children ages 2-12. Love Is All It Takes presented by Nicey’s Heart of Restoration and Eagle Vision Productions. A theatrical production that is not just a title, but a standard. There are so many issues that are plaguing our society today. These issues rage from domestic abuse, neglect of our children, sex trafficking, and the breakdown of family structure just to name a few. This stage play is one way to be a part of the solution to bring the foundation of family back together. 1:30pm and 6:30pm. Tickets: $20-$35. 6th Annual Y Golf Open. The East Cobb-McCleskey YMCA is one of 20 Ys participating in Atlanta’s largest charitable golf tournament. Choose from four courses. Reception, dinner and awards to follow.
