Build a Bowling Game! Take your kids to a free hands-on workshop hosted at Home Depot, designed for children ages 5-12. You and your child can create a cool Ice Age: Collision Course bowling game. The kids get to keep their craft, along with a free workshop apron, certificate, and pin. Be sure to register online ahead of time to reserve your spot!

This pre-Independence Day celebration will feature high-energy, live music performances and family entertainment from 6-10 p.m. Audiences will be treated to two stages of live music, festive street entertainment, food vendors, and kids’ activities. The evening will be capped off with a brilliant fireworks finale beginning at 9:30 p.m.

Spend the Fourth in the Park! Marietta Parks and Recreation will host the Fourth in the Park celebration. The Marietta Freedom Parade starts at 10 a.m. at Roswell Street Baptist Church and ends at North Marietta Parkway. It will be followed by concerts, museum tours, arts and crafts shows, good, carnival games, and a fireworks finale at dark in Glover Park/Marietta Square.

Anne Frank in the World Exhibit. This 600 photograph exhibit tells the story of young Anne Frank, from her days of freedom in the 1930s to her hiding with her family in Amsterdam, to her 1945 death in the Bergen-Belson concentration camp. This powerful, moving exhibit provides visitors a chance to learn, explore, share and remember the history and lessons of the Holocaust and its continued relevance today.

Take a Hike at Sope Creek! Sope Creek Park offers over 3 miles of hiking, mountain biking and running trails. The Sope Creek Trail travels to the multi-story ruins of a paper mill, destroyed by Union troops during the Civil War. Beside the ruins, Sope Creek flows wide and shallow, coursing through angular shoals under a canopy of trees towards the wide Chattahoochee River just downstream.
Cost: $3 for a day long parking pass
