Annual Harvest Square Arts and Crafts Festival + Halloween Happenings + Zombie Walk

October 15th

Harvest Square is an annual arts and crafts festival held each October. In addition to a wide variety of arts and crafts items, the festival includes Halloween Happenings for children. Carnival games and lots of prizes to thrill the little ones. The show setting is at Glover Park in the historic Marietta Square. Harvest Square Arts and Crafts Festival: 9am – 5pm. Halloween Hikes

October 21-22 & 28-29

Get ready to take a walk on the wild side and meet some wonderful costumed woodland creatures at night! Experience the mystery of a short half-mile guided night hike through the lighted woodland trails where you’ll meet friendly costumed forest creatures who will delight you with their dramatic antics. Create crafts in the gym such as bat puppets, mysterious masks, and more. Tickets: $10 (save $1 off the first weekend), children two and under are free. Hikes start at 7pm and end at 10. Haunted Theater: Mad in Wonderland

October 26-28

Pope High School will be hosting their annual Haunted Theater. Students create a spooktacular experience that will send shivers down your spine. Starts at 6pm. Admission is $5. Bring in 2 canned goods and non-perishable items your second ticket is free. Owl O’ Ween

October 21 & 22

This Spooktacular Hot Air Balloon Festival is a 2-day family friendly event, featuring amazing balloon glows, trick-or-treating, tethered balloon rides, harvest beer tents, vendor marketplace, sports bar, artist market, amazing food trucks, roving entertainment, kid’s area, a concert stage, and more! Pumpkin Patch – Mt. Zion UMC

Pumpkin Patch – St. Andrew United Methodist Church

October 4-31

St. Andrew United Methodist Church hosts their pumpkin patch for the 30th year. Pumpkins, gourds, Indian corn and more for purchase. Monday-Saturday: 9:30 am-8 pm. Sundays: noon-8 pm. Roswell Ghost Tours

October 1- 31

Owned and operated by East Cobbers, the Roswell Ghost Tour is a community staple. Unlike some tours and haunted houses, these Ghost Tours tell stories of real hauntings without costumes to enhance imagination. Tours are available nightly in October. Demand is high. Scary-etta

Fridays and Saturdays starting October 1 through October 31

Step aboard the trolley for a spirited 90-minute fully narrated ride through Marietta. The ghost tours are all 90 minutes of thrills and chills based on history and documented accounts of ghostly encounters. There is a walk of about 2 blocks. Spooktacular

October 21

Come dressed in your spookiest costume. For ages 12 and under (Parents are free, but must accompany children to this event). Dance the night away with a DJ, carnival games and crafts. Best costume wins a prize. 6-8pm. $5 per child. Game tickets are included in the registration fee. Food items can be purchased for a nominal fee. Strandemonium, Jr.

October 26 & 27

A spooky, goofy show that’s fun for all ages. Strandemonium, Jr. is an auditioned production for performers aged 5th through 9th grade that is part of The Strand’s new education program. All audience members are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes and participate in a costume contest to win a concessions package to enjoy during the performance. This is a great opportunity to support arts education AND a perfect excuse to dress up long before trick-or-treating. 7-9pm. Admission is $10. The Strand Theatre, 117 North Park Square Marietta. YMCA Youth Track or Treat

October 16

This track meet is unique because runners will be competing in their costumes. Divisions are in place for age groups and distance. There will be prizes and activities tables for supporters.
