ACWORTH GHOST TOURS
Fridays and Saturdays starting October 1 through October 31
Acworth’s history and ghost stories are shared by a tour guide. Size of tour groups limited, purchase tickets in advance. 8pm. $15. FRIGHT FEST
Through October 31
It’s a spooky time of year as zombies and ghouls take over the Six Flags Over Georgia amusement park. Enjoy thrills and activities for the whole family throughout the day and come back for a truly frightening evening of fun after the sun goes down. Fright Fest offers a wide variety of places to get your scare on including seven haunted mazes and five scare zones located throughout the park. ROSWELL GHOST TOURS
October 1-31
Owned and operated by East Cobbers, the Roswell Ghost Tour is a community staple. Unlike some tours and haunted houses, these Ghost Tours tell stories of real hauntings without costumes to enhance imagination. Tours are available nightly in October. Demand is high. SCARY-ETTA
Fridays and Saturdays starting October 1 through October 31
Step aboard the trolley for a spirited 90-minute fully narrated ride through Marietta. The ghost tours are all 90 minutes of thrills and chills based on history and documented accounts of ghostly encounters. There is a walk of about 2 blocks. Tours start at 8pm. $17 (plus tax)/Adults. $12 (plus tax)/Children (12 and under). $15 (plus tax)/seniors. Limited space. Advance reservations required. 131 Church Street, Marietta. PUMPKIN PATCH – EAST COBB UMC

PUMPKIN PATCH – MT. ZION UMC
October 2-31
Buy a pumpkin, plus stickers, candy and a great photo spot. Patch opens October 2. Special event family movie night: October 21. 7:30 Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin. 8:15 Hocus Pocus. PUMPKIN PATCH – ST. ANDREW UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

St. Andrew United Methodist Church hosts their pumpkin patch for the 31st year. Pumpkins, gourds, Indian corn and more for purchase. MondaySaturday: 9:30am-8pm. Sundays: noon-8pm. FALL-O-WEEN
October 14
Carnival games, trick-or-treating, dance party, and costume contests. After sundown Disney’s live-action “Beauty and the Beast” will be shown. Bring a blanket or chairs. Concessions available. 5-9pm. HALLOWEEN HIKES
October 20-21 & 27-28
Get ready to take a walk on the wild side and meet some wonderful costumed woodland creatures at night! Experience the mystery of a short half-mile guided night hike through the lighted woodland trails where you’ll meet friendly costumed forest creatures who will delight you with their dramatic antics. Create crafts in the gym such as bat puppets, mysterious masks, and more. Tickets: $10 (save $1 off the first weekend), children two and under are free. Hikes start at 7pm and end at 10pm. HARVESTFEST
October 21
HarvestFest is an annual arts and crafts festival held each October. In addition to a wide variety of arts and crafts items, the festival includes Halloween Happenings for children. Carnival games and lots of prizes to thrill the little ones. The show setting is at Glover Park in the historic Marietta Square. Arts and Crafts Festival: 9am-5pm. Touch-a-Truck: 10am2pm. HAUNTED THEATER: THE DOLLHOUSE
October 25-26 & 28-29
Pope High School Drama Club introduces Marie, a little girl who will guide guests around the dollhouse while introducing everyone to the dolls one by one…which dolls are friendly and which will cause trouble for the show? STRANDEMONIUM, JR.
October 27
A spooky, goofy show that’s fun for all ages. Strandemonium, Jr. is an auditioned production for performers aged 5th through 9th grade that is part of The Strand’s new education program. All audience members are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes and participate in a costume contest to win a concessions package to enjoy during the performance. This is a great opportunity to support arts education AND a perfect excuse to dress up long before trick-or-treating. 7-8:30pm. Admission is $10. The Strand Theatre, 117 North Park Square, Marietta. OWL O’ WEEN
October 27-28
This spooktacular hot air balloon festival is a 2-day family friendly event, featuring amazing balloon glows, trick-or-treating, tethered balloon rides, harvest beer tents, vendor marketplace, sports bar, artist market, amazing food trucks, roving entertainment, kid’s area, a concert stage, and more! ACWORTH HALLOWEEN JAMBOOREE

Free hayrides and costume contests for different age groups. For a minimal charge, each child can participate in many different carnival type games and activities where they can win candy and prizes. 3-7pm.
