On Saturday, June 18, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Heartsaver® First Aid and CPR training will be held at the WellStar East Cobb Health Park. Heartsaver First Aid CPR teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrives. Skills covered in this course include first aid; choking relief in adults, children and infants; and what to do for sudden cardiac arrest in adults, children, and infants.

This course teaches skills with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills. This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements. This course meets Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements and is an excellent course for day care workers and others who are required to have first aid and CPR certification for their workplaces. A two-year certification is given upon completion.

The training will be held at the East Cobb Health Park, 3747 Roswell Road in Marietta / East Cobb, 30062. The fee is $60.

Registration is required for all classes and programs unless otherwise noted. Payment must be made at time of registration in order to secure a space in the class. If you choose to send in a check or money order, your restitution will not be confirmed until payment is received and posted to your account. Pre-payment is required for all classes with fees, regardless of location.
