The Lassiter High School Marching Band is one of only 13 high school bands in the nation invited to march in the 2019 Tournament of Roses Parade in California.

“To be invited to perform in the historic, 130th annual Tournament of Roses Parade is an honor for Lassiter band students and it also reflects well on Cobb County and all of Georgia,: said Lassiter band director James Thompson. “We’ve been working hard on music and marching since July, and now we’re also focused on raising enough money so that all our students will be able to take part in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”

Lassiter High School is located at 2601 Shallowford Road in Marietta/East Cobb.
