East Cobb residents Chris and Maria MacInnis recently opened Homewatch CareGivers to provide high-quality, in-home care to those in our community who need these services.
Homewatch CareGivers of North Atlanta provides home care services for families who are caring for seniors, adults with disabilities or who are recovering from illness or surgery. Their services allow seniors to age in their own homes under the supervision and care of highly trained caregivers.
All programs are supervised by professional nurses, and include skilled nursing care, personal care, and companion/ sitter services. The company’s hours and services are flexible and customized for each client. Their home care service plans are designed to address current abilities and promote physical and emotional well-being. From companionship services that can help to alleviate loneliness to hands-on personal care, their caregivers make sure that a client lives each day fully.
Homewatch also offers a complimentary evaluation and the ability to start quickly for families who have an immediate need.
Chris MacInnis has worked in home health and hospice for more than 20 years, and started the Homewatch CareGivers franchise with his wife because he saw first-hand how their caregivers can provide peace of mind to families who are caring for loved ones of all ages. Maria MacInnis has a background in customer service as a dental hygienist and has been busy raising a family in the area.
Both Chris and Maria recognize that although there are assisted living centers, there are not enough home-based services to care for the aging population in the North Atlanta area.
“Families are stressed about how to care for loved ones, and we want to share some of that burden in a way that respects the dignity of our client and allows them to recover or age in their own homes,” says Chris.
