The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Kennesaw State University’s College of Continuing and Professional Education encourages adults, age 50 and older, to remain active through intellectual and personal growth. Every year, OLLI at KSU offers over 90 classes that span art and music, history, technology, languages, health and fitness. Beginning on Monday, Oct. 2, OLLI will offer a sampling of classes, giving residents in the community an opportunity to experience the wide variety of programs available.

“This year’s OLLI sampler includes a combination of new offerings and old favorites,” said Patricia Walker, program manager. “Courses range from art and photography to history and finances. Students will even learn how they can write their own novel and publish a book.”

The OLLI Sampler includes admission to OLLI’s “Oktoberfest” themed social event on Oct. 30. Guests will have the opportunity to socialize, meet new friends and pose for a picture or two before dining and dancing.  The event will be held at KSU Center from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and is open to the public.

“We want students to gain a good sense of what OLLI has to offer,” Walker said. “We hope students broaden their interests, hone their talents and cultivate new experiences and friendships along the way.”

Registration for the OLLI Sampler is $39 per person. Once registered, students have the option to register a friend for $19.
