Featured on our May cover is Wendy Cooper, this year’s EAST COBBER Mother of the Year, with her four children: Jordan, 18, a senior at Pope High School; Logan, 17, a junior at Pope High School; Kylie, 14, an eighth-grader at Dodgen Middle School; and, Lindsay, 5. “It means so much to find out that my daughter, Kylie, nominated me,” says Wendy.

A single, working mom of four busy kids (her youngest child has a genetic disorder), Wendy’s dayto-day life can be overwhelming from teaching preschool to researching therapies for her daughter, doctors’ appointments, and keeping up with all of her kids’ activities. Says Wendy, “I don’t know how I do it every day, but I do it for my kids. . . I love spending time with my kids and watching them turn into amazing people!”

When asked to name her favorite part about living in East Cobb, Wendy says she is grateful for her close-knit neighborhood, the great schools and “everything we need is close by.”
