Northside Heart announced the addition of a new location at the new Northside/East Cobb Medical building. This marks the ninth location of the practice and first in the East Cobb community.
Northside Heart, one of the largest groups to provide cardiology services in the North Atlanta area, is located at 4800 Olde Towne Parkway, Suite 420 and offers complete cardiovascular care.
Two highly-experienced cardiovascular doctors will lead the practice, Dr. Michael Balk and Dr. Faresa Weragoda.
Dr. Balk is a board-certified physician in cardiovascular disease and nuclear cardiology and Dr. Weragoda is a board-certified physician in cardiovascular disease, adult echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and vascular ultrasound.
“We are thrilled to open a Northside Heart location to serve the Marietta community,” Dr. Weragoda said. “Our cardiovascular patients will now get the highest standard in cardiovascular care — close to home.”
Dr. Balk serves as president of the American Heart Association Metro Atlanta-Greater Southeast Affiliate Board of Directors and is medical director of the Northside Hospital Heart & Vascular Institute.
