Choosing a pediatrician is an important decision for every parent, and it’s essential you and your child find a comfortable place to call your medical home. Sun Pediatrics recently opened an office in East Cobb to provide a second convenient location for local families. Sun Pediatrics provides a full spectrum of pediatric healthcare (sick, well and preventative care) from birth through 21 years of age. They also offer sports and camp physical evaluations.

Sun Pediatrics is a family-owned practice. A practicing physician for 18 years, Dr Meenakshi Hari opened the practice with her husband to provide a place where parents and kids can feel at ease. Their three providers aim to provide the best pediatric healthcare without unnecessary tests and medicines. They recognize that parents know their children the best, and it’s important to listen carefully to the parent and child to get the information needed to make an accurate diagnosis.

The providers purposefully schedule more time with each patient so they can complete a thorough examination and talk through all treatment options with the family. “Your child will not feel like a number here. We will treat your child like we treat our very own,” says Dr. Hari.

Still need a flu shot? Sun Pediatrics offers flu vaccines for patients and parents of patients during regular exams and scheduled flu clinics. Their brand-new, spotless office offers walk-in sick times and separate waiting areas for sick patients. There is also a separate waiting area and exam room for newborns to reduce exposure.

Sun Pediatrics has an in-house lab, which means they can get lab results quickly. They can perform rapid flu and rapid strep tests onsite, as well as blood tests for glucose and hemoglobin.

Open Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm, the office provides the following services: vision and hearing screens, breathing treatments, ear irrigations, wart removals, catheterizations, removal of foreign bodies, burn treatment, abscess drainage and ear piercing.

Clear and open communication is an important part of the care process. The electronic medical system allows patients to access patient medical information easily through the online portal, and parents can ask non-urgent questions through the portal as well. Providers are available for parent questions during the day and are accessible after hours for urgent calls.

“I have been going to Dr. Hari since 2014. I have a three year old and a newborn and she has been there for both. I love Dr. Hari she always makes us feel like family when we visit. She is so compassionate about her work and the health of my children. She has never recommended any unnecessary treatments for my children. I have recommended both my sisters to her, and they both now go to her and love her as well,” says Talitha Jones, a parent in an online review.

The East Cobb office is at 1230 Johnson Ferry Road, Suite A10, Marietta 30068. Call to make an appointment today at 678-501-5601. For more information, visit sunpediatrics.com.
