For over 25 years, Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) has become a popular way for consumers to buy local, seasonal food directly from a farmer. The Pope Globalization Academy Foundation (PGAF) is sponsoring a fundraising partnership with Farm to Fork, CSA. Farm to Fork is a company based in Woodstock that will bring organic, locally sourced produce from small farms all over Georgia to Pope High School. When you order your produce bag using the Pope pick-up site, 10 percent of the proceeds from the order will be donated in support of the Globalization Academy.

Globalization refers to the changes in the world where it is moving away from self-contained countries and toward a more integrated world. Globalization of business is the change in a business from a company associated with a single country to one that operates in multiple countries.

The PGAF wants students to graduate from high school with a full understanding of the historical, social, economic, scientific and technological components of the global age. To achieve this, they must be willing to ask questions, share insights, study, embrace challenge, and give time and energy to their campus and community. In return, they will graduate prepared for the finest universities and with the critical international understandings needed to engage and lead on a global level.

With this fundraiser, the Globalization Academy is creating awareness for sustainability, local entrepreneurship and healthy living. Support the Academy by logging on to the website, www.farmtoforkcsa.com, and choose the size of your bag. Select Pope as your delivery site. Your bag will be delivered every Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. by the Pope Greenhouse, 3001 Hembree Road, Marietta 30062. Last pick up is at 5:00 p.m. The leftover bags will be donated.
