On Friday, June 17, Unity North Atlanta will be hosting a concert featuring Cindy Lou Harrington. Cindy Lou Harrington is an award-winning singer/songwriter and acoustic guitarist with five independent albums. Her latest two albums, “Rock My Country” and “Life is a Song,” were recorded with her daughters, Brittany and Taylor. Harrington’s performances have included opening for Kathy Mattea at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre and sharing the stage with established country-rock acts such as Sawyer Brown, Neal McCoy, and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. Known for her velvet vocals and pure country-rock sound, Harrington’s powerful live performances, strong-harmony arrangements, and extraordinary songwriting have been showcased regularly at top performing songwriter venues in Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, and New York.
The concert will celebrate family and friendships. Here’s the schedule for the evening:
5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. – Tailgate Party “$1 a Dog” Hotdogs & Veggie Dogs
7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. – Concert in Main Building
8:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. – Desserts in Organic Garden
At 8:45, there will be the first annual “Moonflower Party” sponsored by Unity’s Organic Garden.
